A few days ago, the President of the United States made an offensive, racist remark, continuing to feed into the misconception that Republicans are all old, rich, white men.  He told a group of Democrats “what the other side is counting on is you’re going to stay home; they’re counting on your silence; they’re counting on your amnesia; they’re counting on your apathy; their counting on young people staying home and union members staying home and black folks staying home.”

What is he saying?  That all young and black people are Democrats?  Yes!  That’s exactly what he’s saying.

Just a few months ago, Harry Reid made the equally offensive comment, “I don’t know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican.”  Are you kidding me?  Who are these people?  Who the hell do they think they are?

Let’s make them eat their words.  Let’s prove to them that they are wrong.  They may never admit to being wrong, but nonetheless, we’ll make it undeniable that people of all races, creeds, religions, ages, and backgrounds are welcome in the republican party.  They are not only welcome in the republican party, they belong in the republican party–the party that sees each person as an individual, the party that judges people based on the content of their character, not the color of their skin.
